Skin Tag Removal
Skin tags are easily removed, the Skin Specialist Nurse will, after a skin consultation, be able to remove them.
Skin tags are small ‘tags’ of skin, flesh or brown coloured growths that are normally small that hang from the surface of your skin. They do not normally cause discomfort, but many people would like them removed as they can snag or catch on clothing or jewellery. Skin tags can also affect your self-confidence and may have grown in an awkward or very visible part of your body.
What are Skin Tags?
Skin tags are small growths made of loose skin fibres that can sometimes look like small warts or larger skin bumps. Skin tags are very common and are harmless. They most commonly occur at skin folds, including neck, armpits, the groin and under breasts. They can develop for no reason, but are more common in people who are overweight, pregnant, have type 2 diabetes or have a family history of skin tags. Skin tags may occur in isolation, or they many develop in a cluster around one area, often around the neck.
